Professional and biographical profile

- Born on 9th December 1983 in Rusape.

- LLB (Hons) University of Zimbabwe 2009 and admitted into practice

of law in January 2010.


He is Partner in Maunga Maanda & Associates a law firm which specializes

in Commercial Law and Human Rights with offices in Harare and Mutare.


He is the Managing Partner for the Mutare office and overall head of the Human

Rights Division in the firm. In his practice as a lawyer he has litigated human rights

cases before the Constitutional Court. 


Currently the National Chairperson of the Zimbabwe Human Rights Association for the period 2015 to 2018. His responsibilities include chairing all sessions of Annual General Meetings and National Council meetings, speaking on behalf of the organization on policy issues and representing the organization on policy issues. He has previously worked with the Legal Resources Foundation and the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights as a student intern. An individual and group winner of the International Committee of the Red Cross Pan – African International Humanitarian Law Moot Court competition held locally at the University of Zimbabwe first, then the National Competition held before High Court Judges and eventually the Pan – African Moot Court competition held in Arusha, Tanzania in 2009 before the eminent judges of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. He has previously been appointed a board member for Zimbabwe Football Association Northern Region as a secretary in the disciplinary committee from 2008 – 2010 and also Bonda Mission Hospital from 2011 – 2013.


He believes in team work, separation and delegation of power(s) at all leadership levels.
